Detroit has many problems, But I think the most important is Pride. It’s not Money, Color of your skin or what ever else you can muster up as an excuse. Pride in you community, Pride in your home, Pride in yourself. I used to stay at my aunts house in Detroit’s lower east side, I cry now when I drive down the streets where my uncle used to walk to the corner in the morning and get us bagels. When the people of Detroit start to have pride in them selfs and stop comparing to what other people have, they will start to grow. Mow the lawn, trim the hedges, paint your home.
